One Year with Dakota
Photographing your own child is such a different experience. Somewhere between trying to keep up with him and convincing him not to crawl directly out of frame, we managed to capture this stage exactly as it feels right now.
These first birthday photos were simple, playful, and focused on documenting Dakota’s personality as it is at one year old – curious, busy, expressive, and always moving. The older he gets, the more important these photos become, especially knowing how quickly this season of life changes.
Being able to document these moments for my own family will always be some of the most meaningful photography I create.
